Since he was a kid, Cal Lorencz just wanted to know. It’s that insatiable curiosity that’s made him a success. Southern Alberta enjoys 2,400 hours of sun yearly,” says Lorencz. “We are in the Sunbelt of Canada” and “The answer to our power production rises in the east every morning and best of all it’s free!” He has been involved in Alberta’s technology industry since the early 1980’s. This experience provided a springboard into engineering and installing Renewable Energy Systems. Our experience with Solar PV began in the 1980’s when PV prices were about $1500 for a 50W panel which was used on remote mountaintop telecommunication systems. In the decades to follow prices have fallen and efficiencies have increased.
Cal is CanSIA trained and is a Certified member of The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta. He is a certified Photovoltaic System Designer (SEI). |

“I have always been interested in building things” states Jim. “It started with helping my father and brother building a garage and cabin at the family lakeshore retreat, then moving on to renovating homes. Most recently I participated in the design and hands-on construction of our new family home.” It was his technological understanding and interest in energy efficiency during his new home construction that led him to TSG Technologies and starting a new career. Jim is involved with the design and installation of solar domestic hot water systems. The wind power, solar power and solar domestic hot water systems offered by TSG Technologies are a cost-effective environmentally friendly way to make a difference in global warming. “I feel my experience and technical background will compliment the company.“ says Griffin “I truly believe that by us, as individuals adopting these new technologies we can significantly improve the health of our planet and I look forward to being an integral part of it all.” |
